This mix is an eclectic blend of tracks spanning quite a few genres. Overall, it's a nice track selection and pacing. A lot of bumpin' breakbeat grooves and funk, jazz and soul influences. Perfect soundtrack for a party. The variety will keep everyone happy and all of the tunes are fairly high-energy. Good stuff!

released under a Creative Commons license granting free distribution.

The album Thread Soul
features guest performances by Lucas
Pickford (Brian Blade, Tiger Okoshi) and Cochemea Gastelum (Fred Wesley, Robert Walter’s 20^th
Congress).

Thread Soul was
released to the public on 7-25-2006. Since its release, the album has rapidly spread
through P2P networks such as BitTorrent. It is released under a Creative Commons Attrib-NonCommercial license which allows users to freely modify and distribute the album, as long as they do not use it in a commercial endeavor.

I formerly had the Electronic Breakbeat Jazz blog, but the music reviewed did not always include breakbeats, so I removed that from the title. (besides, the shorter URL is much easier to type)
